Facebook has said it will be temporarily suspending all Facebook games in 2019.
The company will continue to allow users to play some online games for a limited time, but it’s expected the company will stop allowing them to play games in 2018 and 2019.
Facebook is not the only major platform to be temporarily taking down games in response to cyberattacks.
Google, for example, said it would be temporarily removing its popular Chrome browser.
But the company has been rolling out a series of updates designed to prevent the kind of cyberattacks that crippled the site in 2017.
Facebook, which has more than a billion users, said in a blog post that it is “doing everything it can to protect users from these types of attacks.”
