You might have heard that the MLB’s internet-only baseball games are getting a facelift, and that the commissioner was pushing for the MLB to get rid of online restrictions and make the games available on mobile devices.
While there’s still a lot of work to be done to make the MLB games available to everyone, this latest announcement does bring the league’s MLB Mobile app up to date.
The MLB Mobile team said that it’s working on getting the MLB app updated with “a variety of enhancements” to make it easier to navigate through the MLB sites and the games.
The MLB mobile app will now let you play all MLB games on the go and also allow you to search for the game you’re interested in, according to the announcement.
For instance, you can now see the current schedule of MLB games, whether it’s on a device or on a PC, and also see how many times each team has played each other.
The app also includes live stats for each game, and you can search for your favorite team’s players by position, or browse the stats for every player in your team’s lineup.
There are a few new features that make the app easier to use for fans who don’t have a mobile device: You can search through players’ stats and schedule using the same search terms that you can use on your smartphone or tablet.
And you can also use your mobile device’s camera to take pictures of the ball on the field.
The baseball games available for MLB Mobile include:Baseball Tonight: The first-ever MLB game on a live broadcast on the MLB Network, with live video from the field, dugouts, broadcast booth and batting cages.
The game will air in English on Thursday nights and in Spanish on Friday nights.
Baseball Night Live: An online broadcast with live streaming video, sound effects and other fun moments that you’ll never see on television.
It will be available for a limited time starting Thursday, April 19, at 11 p.m. ET.
